For each registered user, you should specify the synchronization entities to work with. When synchronization entities are assigned, users can only perform synchronization of the Microsoft Dynamics NAV entities and Outlook items specified in the synchronization entities that are assigned to them.

Only users with sufficient permissions or super users can assign entities to synchronization users. For more information, see Outlook Synchronization Users.

To assign a synchronization entity to a user

  1. In the Search box, enter Outlook Synch. User Setup, and then choose the related link.

  2. Select the user you want, and on the Home tab, in the Manage group, choose Edit List. The Outlook Synch. User Setup window opens.

  3. Select the user for whom you want to specify a synchronization entity.

  4. To assign synchronization entities to the specified user, choose the Synch. Entity Code field.

  5. In the Outlook Synch. Entity List window, select an entity from the list of available entities. Close the window. The Description field is automatically filled with the description of the selected synchronization entity.

Note
Repeat these steps on new lines if you want to assign more than one synchronization entity to the same user.
