You can use the Contact Mailing Group window to assign mailing groups to your contacts.

Before you can do this, you must set up mailing groups in the Shortcut iconMailing Groups window.

To assign a mailing group to a contact

  1. In the Search box, enter Contact, and then choose the related link.

  2. In the Contact List window, select the contact that you want to assign a mailing group to.

  3. On the Contact card, on the Navigate tab, in the Contact group, choose Mailing Groups. The Contact Mailing Groups window opens.

  4. In the Mailing Group Code field, select the mailing group you want to assign.

Repeat these steps to assign as many mailing groups as you want.

You can also assign mailing groups from the Contact List window by following the same procedure.

Note
The number of mailing groups you have assigned to the contact is displayed in the No. of Mailing Groups field on the Segmentation FastTab of the Contact card.

When you have assigned mailing groups to your contacts, you can use this information to select contacts for your segments.

Tip
You can assign mailing groups to several contacts simultaneously by applying mailing groups to segments.
