Feedback documents are sent from Microsoft Dynamics NAV to Outlook as a response for a synchronization query.

The feedback document contains all errors or conflicts detected during the synchronization. These errors and conflicts are collected by the C/AL code, which parses the document received from Outlook at the Microsoft Dynamics NAV Service Tier side, validates the user, and performs data modification in the Microsoft Dynamics NAV database.

After collecting errors and conflicts from Outlook, the C/AL code collects and adds to the feedback document the changes that appeared in the Microsoft Dynamics NAV Change Log since the time of the latest synchronization. Then the feedback document is sent back to the Microsoft Dynamics NAV Synchronization add-in. For more information, see Last Synchronization Time.
