The Role Center is your main point of entry into Microsoft Dynamics NAV. You can use it to get an overview of the status of your day’s work.

The Role Center can contain the following parts.

Activities

The Activities part contains tiles that open a corresponding list or journal and tiles that invoke an action, such as creating a new Sales Order, or Payment Registration.

Important
While removing tiles is possible when customizing the Role Center, activity items cannot be removed.

Outlook

The Outlook part gives you an overview of your emails, calendar, and Outlook tasks. You can choose an item to open the corresponding folder, email, or appointment in Outlook.

Charts

Your Role Center may contain one or more graphs that display information that is relevant to your work. Hover the cursor over a part of the chart to see the related data in text.

On list places you can add and use charts in much the same way as on a Role Center.

My Notifications

In the My Notifications part, you can see notes that your colleagues have sent to you. You can choose a note to open the document that the message is related to.

On list places and tasks pages you can add and use notes in much the same way as on a Role Center.

Lists

Your Role Center may contain one or more lists with customers, vendors, or items. You can decide which customers, vendors, or items to include on the list. By selecting a line and choosing the Open command, you can open the card for the customer, vendor, or item.

Online Information

You can choose to have live product and business information display as a continuous slide show on your Role Center with links that you can choose to open a web site and read the full content.
