When you have agreed on the discount percentage that a group of customers will receive on certain items, you register the agreement for the individual items on the lines in the Sales Line Discount window.

To create a sales line discount for a group of customers

  1. In the Search box, enter Customer Disc. Groups, and then choose the related link.

  2. Select the line for the customer discount group, and on the Navigate tab, in the Cust. Disc. Groups group, choose Sales Line Discounts. The Sales Line Discounts window opens.

  3. The Sales Type field is set to Customer Discount Group, and the Sales Code is set to the selected customer group.

  4. Fill in the Type, Code, Unit of Measure, and the agreed Line Discount % fields. Fill in the Variant Code field if there are several variants.

  5. If the customer group needs to purchase a minimum quantity in order to gain the agreed upon discount percentage, fill in the Minimum Quantity field.

  6. If required, enter the Starting Date and Ending Date of the discount agreement.

  7. If relevant, specify a value in the Currency Code field.

Repeat these steps for every item for which you want to create a sales line discount.
