The source version for the upgrade can be Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2009, Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2009 SP1, or Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2009 R2. It cannot be an earlier version of Microsoft Dynamics NAV. If you have an earlier version, such as Microsoft Dynamics NAV 5.0 or Microsoft Dynamics NAV 4.0, you must first upgrade that version to Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2009 R2 before you can upgrade to Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2013.
