Specifies a new serial number that will take the place of the serial number in the Serial No. field. This field is only available if you have opened the item tracking lines from the item reclassification journal.
The program requires that this field contain a value. Therefore, if you are reclassifying an item with item tracking but would like to keep the serial number the same, you must leave the old serial number in this field.
