Shows the Gen. Posting Type that applies to the entry.
The program automatically retrieves the general posting type from one of the following fields:
If the entry was posted from a journal line, the general posting type is copied from the Gen. Posting Type field or the Bal. Gen. Posting Type field on the journal line.
If the entry was posted from an order, invoice or credit memo, the general posting type is filled in if VAT must be calculated on the line.
The field can also be filled in by the Calc. and Post VAT Settlement batch job.
