Specifies the purpose of the Line Type.
In this field, you identify the purpose of the cost object. Newly created cost objects are automatically assigned the Cost Object type, but you can change this. Choose the field to select an option. The following table shows the available options.

Heading | A heading for a group of cost objects. |
Total | A total of a series of balances on cost objects that do not immediately precede the Total cost object. You use Total when cost objects from different groupings should be totaled. If you use the Total type, the Totaling field must not be left blank. |
Begin-Total | A marker for the beginning of a series of cost objects to be totaled that ends with an End-Total cost object. |
End-Total | A total of a series of cost objects that starts with the preceding Begin-Total cost object. The total is defined in the Totaling field. |
When the chart of cost objects is not sorted by using the Code field, but is sorted by using the Sorting Order field instead, only one level with Begin-Total and End-Total totals is allowed.
