Specifies the purpose of the cost center.
Newly created cost centers are automatically assigned the Cost Center line type, but you can change this by choosing the field and selecting one of the available options. These functions are similar to the account type in the chart of accounts. For more information, see Account Type.
If the Chart of Cost Centers is not sorted by the entry in the Code field, but instead by the entry in the Sorting Order field, only one level with beginning and end totals is allowed.
