Open the Analysis Report window.

The Shortcut iconAnalysis Report report shows an analysis report which can be used to display inventory, sales and purchase statistics. Analysis reports can be used, for example, for reports on key figures.

You use the Column Template Name table to define what columns should be included in the report. For example, you can design a column template to compare sales for the same period this year and last year. Note that a printed version of an analysis report can display a maximum of five columns. If there are more than five columns in an analysis report, only the first five will be printed. The preview will show you exactly how the lines and columns will appear in the printed version. Fill in the fields as follows:

Layout

Analysis Report Name: Enter the name of the analysis report to be shown in the report.

Analysis Line Template: Enter the name of the line template that will be used for the report.

Analysis Column Template: This field shows the name of the column template that will be used for the report.

Filters

Date Filter: This field shows the period for which the analysis report will show figures based on item ledger entries, value entries, and analysis view entries.

Budget Filter: This field can contain a budget filter for the report.

Source Type: If you want to filter your analysis report by item no., customer no. or vendor no., you must choose the source type in this field. Available source types are Item, Customer, and Vendor. When you have chosen the source type, you must enter the filter in the Source No. Filter field.

Source No.: If you want to filter your analysis report by item no., customer no., or vendor no., you must enter the filter in this field. Depending on the source type filter you have chosen in the Source Type Filter field, you can enter a filter for either Items, Customers, or Vendors in this field.

Dimension Filters

Here you can filter by dimensions.

The contents of the Analysis Line Template field determines which dimension filters are available. If there is an analysis view associated with the analysis line template, you can filter by the dimensions assigned to the analysis view. If there is no analysis view associated with the analysis line template, you can filter by the global dimensions.

Show Error

This field shows when the report will indicate that there is an error. There are the following options:

None

The program will not display any errors.

Division by Zero

If a formula in the analysis report results in division by zero, the program will display *ERROR* in place of the amount.

Period Error

If there is a difference in the length of the periods, the program displays Not Available in place of the amount.

Both

The program checks for both division by zero and period errors.

Show Analysis Report Setup: A check mark in the box indicates that the actual report with the amounts will be preceded by one or more pages that describe the analysis report setup. That is, the first pages of the report show the lines that have been defined in the Analysis Report window.
