Specifies whether the Item Availability by BOM Level window shows the total availability of all items, both the actual availability of all items and the potential availability of parents, if you make them. The field is selected by default and shows the true figures for the top item.
When the field is selected, the Available Quantity field on all lines for available items shows how many items are available.

| When the field is selected, more values are shown in the Able to Make Parent and Able to Make Top Item fields, which can give incorrect information about subassemblies under the top item. To get a true indication of how many shown parents you can make, you must clear the Show Total Availability field and then view the value in the Able to Make Parent field. |
When the field is not selected, the Able to Make Parent and Able to Make Top Item fields on lines under the top item show only the portion of an item’s availability that makes it possible to make the parent of the item on the line.
